Staffing & Pay Rates

Tier 1 and Tier 2 Officials

We operate on a Two-Tier Staffing Model to guarantee a safe and well-managed game environment:

  • Tier 1 (Lead Official): Experienced adult referee. Pay rate is $35 per game.
  • Tier 2 (Apprentice Official): Developing youth official. Pay rate is $30 per game.
Scheduling Policy

Adult Lead Guarantee

Our platform enforces strict safety and quality controls. Two Apprentice Officials are not permitted to work a game together. Every court will always have at least one adult Tier 1 Lead Official present. If an Apprentice slot remains unfilled, it will be upgraded to a second Lead Official.

Welcome to the new RecRef platform. Please check the Self-Assign tab to view open blocks. If you claim an assignment, it will immediately appear in your My Schedule tab along with your partner's contact information.

A few scheduling reminders for the season:

  • You cannot claim games that conflict with your current schedule or require you to travel to a new gym within 1 hour.
  • If you have an emergency and need to return a block of games, you can click "Return All" directly in your schedule tab as long as the first game is more than 48 hours away. Within 48 hours, you must contact the assigner directly.
