Online Training Option & Season Commitment Test

If you are a 1st or 2nd year official and cannot attend the in-person clinics, you can complete your pre-season training entirely online.

BRYC is paying for each new official to become IAABO Jr certified. To confirm who plans to work this season, all 1st and 2nd year officials -- whether training online or in person -- must pass the Season Commitment Test before attending training. The test will be open during the last two weeks of November. Instructions will be emailed when it opens.

Pre-Season Training

If this is your first or second season officiating, you are required to complete the IAABO Jr program (paid for by BRYC!). All other officials are welcome to attend. Whistles and lanyards will be provided.

New officials are strongly encouraged to attend all training dates in person if possible.

Can't attend in person? 1st and 2nd year officials may complete pre-season training entirely online.

  • Clinic Dates: December 2, 4, and 7 (6:00 PM – 8:30 PM at Irving Middle School).
  • Tax Forms: Form W-9 must be completed in-person during check-in.
  • Practice Scrimmages: Live on-court practice will be held on either December 12 or December 19.

1st and 2nd year officials must pass this test before attending training, whether online or in person. It confirms you plan to work this season -- BRYC is paying for your IAABO Jr certification. Instructions will be emailed when the test opens.
